Minutes

1. Greetings and introductions. 7 members plus guest speaker.

2. Guest Speaker: Rick Lass of Green Congressional Campaign Committee spoke briefly about federal elections and the types of support that the  GCCC could give, followed by Q and A.

3. Offices and candidates. Candidate list was presented (see below)

4. Acceptance of additional nominations. One additional nomination (Don Jones for Co-Chair). Leaving the following candidates: 

• Co-Chair (2 year term): Don Jones
• Co-Chair (1 year term): Scerick Loncope
• Secretary (2 year term): no nominations so far
• National Committee Delegate (2 year term): no nominations so far
• National Committee Alternate Delegate (2 year term): no nominations so far
• National Committee Alternate Delegate (1 year term): no nominations so far
• Up to 4 At-Large Members (2 year terms)

  • Crystal Allen
  • Elizabeth Dachowski
  • Doreen Flash

5. Decisions on voting. An additional one-week call for nominations followed by a two-week voting period. 

• October 11: Sending out a final call for candidates (via GP TN membership list)
• October 18: Close of candidate nominations
• October 19: 2-week voting period begins (via GP TN membership list with voting via Google drive)
• November 2: Close of 2-week voting window.
• November 3: Announcement of winners. 

6. Other issues

• TVA: Call from Appalachian Voices to oppose current board nominations. 
• Fair Representation Act (sponsored by FairVote)
